In the CUPS controlled environment, the result is the healthiest, tastiest citrus. Our trees grow extremely fast — two to three times faster than trees planted outside – and when mature, they will produce three to four times the number of boxes per acre, compared to conventional outside groves. We are exponentially reducing environmental impact and resource usage, as CUPS utilizes:
Less Land
allows for higher density plantings and greater production per acre
Less Water
allows rainwater in and retards the trans-evaporation process thus reducing overall water usage per acre and per unit of fruit produced
Less Herbicides
typical grasses and outside ground covers are not a problem inside of CUPS
Less Fertilizer
more efficient distribution and healthy trees result in less fertilizer demand and waste
